Custom Kitchen Cabinets in Frazer, PA
Frazer operates without a borough hall or town center. It is an unincorporated stretch of East Whiteland Township, roughly two square miles between Exton and Malvern along Route 30, with the rail line running straight through the middle of it. The residential landscape reflects the evolution of the area, offering a variety of postwar single-family homes, townhome developments, and pockets of newer construction. By now, most homes here have aged enough that a kitchen from the original build is either dated or already replaced once.
We build custom kitchen cabinetry, tailored to your home, in our Honey Brook shop and install it ourselves.
A Corridor Town, Not a Single Kitchen Type
Because Frazer grew up along Route 30 rather than around a town center, the housing stock is more mixed than in some of the surrounding towns. There's a mix here of postwar capes and ranches, townhome communities from a later building wave, and newer infill construction, often all within a few blocks of each other. That means we don't assume anything about your kitchen before we measure it.
A 1950s–60s rancher usually has a compact, closed-off kitchen that benefits from extending the upper cabinets to the ceiling and adding real drawer storage below. A townhome kitchen from a later development often has a fine layout undercut by a cheaper cabinet line that now shows its age.
What We Build Ourselves, and What We Coordinate
We design, build, finish and install the cabinetry, including boxes, face frames, doors, drawer boxes, islands, and trim. For plumbing, electrical, flooring or wall work, we bring in trade partners we've worked with for years and coordinate one schedule and one point of contact.
Built to Outlast the Original Cabinets
Our drawer boxes are crafted from solid hardwood and dovetailed at the corners for a joint that tightens with use. Face frames are made with mortise-and-tenon joints. Our boxes are made from furniture-grade plywood, not particleboard under a foil wrap. Our Amish cabinetmakers hand-sand, stain or paint, and then seal every piece with a catalyzed topcoat that shrugs off daily use. This tailored process is a real upgrade over a builder-grade box line from any era.
Timeline and Cost
Most Frazer kitchens run 2 to 6 months from first contact to installed cabinets, most of it shop build time, with an install measured in days. Custom cabinetry in this market generally costs $600 to $1,200 per linear foot, depending on species, door style and storage features. After measurement, we provide homeowners with a concrete number. Frequently Asked Questions
My house is close to the rail line. Does that affect anything about the cabinet install?
No. Vibration from passing trains isn't something that affects a properly anchored cabinet installation.
Can you take my ranch-style kitchen's upper cabinets to the ceiling?
In most cases, yes, and it's one of the more common upgrades we do in this kind of postwar layout. Doing so adds real storage and makes a compact kitchen feel bigger.
Do you serve Frazer directly, or only the surrounding towns like Exton and Malvern?
We serve Frazer directly. Being unincorporated doesn't change how we schedule or price the work, as it's the same territory as the rest of East Whiteland Township.
Is it common for townhome kitchens in this area to need a cabinet replacement already?
Yes, especially if the original cabinetry was a lower-cost builder line. Delaminating boxes and drawers that won't glide smoothly are the usual signs that a replacement is necessary.
Do you handle small kitchens as well as large ones?
Yes. A compact galley kitchen is a normal project for us, and it's often where the layout decisions (like drawer versus door, upper height, and pantry placement) matter the most per square foot.
