Kitchen Remodeler
At EastSide Cabinet Solutions, we’ve seen that a kitchen remodel is only as good as the preparation behind it. Most people focus on the finish color, but as installers, we’re looking at the plumbing, the structural integrity of the walls, and the level of the floors. A kitchen needs to be a durable workshop, not just a showroom.
Because we handle the cabinetry and the broader renovation, we can control every variable from the subfloor to the ceiling.
Fixing the Flow
A kitchen remodel usually starts because the existing layout is frustrating. We look for bottlenecks, like a fridge door that blocks a walkway or a lack of prep space near the stove. During the planning phase, we evaluate the relationship between your primary work zones.
By building our own cabinetry, we can eliminate the filler pieces used in cheap renovations. If we need a cabinet to be exactly 22 and 3/8 inches to make a layout work, we build it that way. This allows us to maximize storage and ensure your appliances fit with enough clearance to actually open their doors fully.

The Bones: Flooring and Walls
Once the old kitchen is gutted, we address the bones of the room. If you’re putting heavy stone counters on top of new cabinets, the floor underneath has to be dead-level. We check the subfloor for rot or sagging and ensure any new flooring, whether tile or hardwood, is installed as a flat, stable foundation.
Walls are rarely straight, which is a major hurdle for cabinetry. We use a technique called scribing, where we hand-trim the cabinet's side panels to match the specific curves or leans of your drywall. This creates a seamless fit without the need for thick beads of caulk or trim to hide gaps. It makes the cabinetry look like an original part of the house.

Countertops and Integration
Countertop installation is where many remodels go wrong. If the base cabinets aren’t perfectly level across the entire run, a granite or quartz top can develop stress fractures at the seams. We use long-range lasers to establish a datum line around the room, ensuring every cabinet is set to the same height. This provides a rock-solid, flat surface for the stone to rest on.

The Final Calibration
The last 10% of the job is what makes a kitchen feel high-end. We spend a significant amount of time on calibration. This means adjusting every hinge and drawer glide so the gaps, also known as reveals, between doors are perfectly consistent. We also handle the integration of the crown molding and toe kicks, ensuring they bridge the gap between the new woodwork and your home’s architecture.
